INVITATIONThe International Association of Technological University Libraries (IATUL) and the Université Laval Library are very pleased to invite you to Québec City to take part in the 26th IATUL Conference under the theme Information and Innovation on May 29 - June 2, 2005. The programme will be organised around three sub-themes:
Founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, the city of Québec (in the Algonquin language, the word Kébec means "where the river narrows") is Canada oldest city and the capital of the Province of Québec. Carved into the bluffs overlooking the majestic St. Lawrence River, it is the only walled city on the American continent north of Mexico. In the midst of a region known for its beauty and as a beacon of French language and culture in America, Québec City has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site of special historical and cultural significance. When you visit this city, you will be greeted with legendary Québec hospitality and "joie de vivre". Québec is definitely one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world. Don't miss this opportunity for an unforgettable and unique experience that awaits you within the walls of this romantic setting ! We look forward to welcoming you to Québec City. Enjoy the conference http://www.bibl.ulaval.ca/iatul2005 Michel Dagenais
