Michael Breaks

Michael Breaks has been University Librarian at Heriot Watt University since 1985, having previously worked in university libraries in England, Wales and Ireland. His main professional interests lie in the areas of digital information and networked services, and he has served on a number of UK policy-making committees in these areas. He is the Director of EEVL: the Internet Guide to Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, an internationally recognised service that has been providing access to quality web sites since 1996. He has contributed to a number of professional journals and conferences and is the editor the New Review of Information Networking. He has been active in IATUL in a number of roles and was President from 2000 to 2004.
