Hal Berghel

Hal Berghel is has held a variety of research and administrative positions in industry and academia during his twenty-five year career in computing. His current research focuses on Internet security and forensics. He has contributed over 300 publications to the professional computing literature.
Berghel is one of the most sought-after keynote speakers in Computing and IT and has given hundreds of keynote addresses worldwide over the past 30 years. He has been recognized as the ACM Outstanding Lecturer of the Year award four times (1996, 1997, 1998 and 2004), and is their sole recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. He has also served as an IEEE Distinguished Visitor His many awards and recognition's include the 1996 ACM Distinguished Service Award and the 2001 ACM Outstanding Contribution Award. He is a Fellow of both the ACM and IEEE.
